This page explains the licensing terms for the Contio Partner SDK and API.

Partner SDK (MIT License)

The Contio Partner SDK (@contio/partner-sdk) is released under the MIT License as a "Third-Party Component" as defined in the Terms of Service.

SDK vs API

The MIT License applies only to the SDK source code. Using the SDK to access the Partner API requires a valid Partner Agreement—see below.

Partner API (Commercial License)

The Contio Partner API is a commercial service owned and operated by Contio AI. Access to and use of the API is governed by the Contio Terms of Service.

Terms of Use

Per the Terms of Service, Contio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service, subject to:

  1. Terms of Service - The legally binding agreement governing all use of Contio services
  2. Partner Agreement - Your organization's signed partner agreement with Contio AI (required for API access)
  3. API Usage Policies - Rate limits, data handling, and acceptable use requirements

Key Restrictions

Per the License Restrictions section of the Terms of Service:

  • 🚫 You may not reproduce, distribute, or provide third-party access to the API
  • 🚫 You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discern source code
  • 🚫 You may not interfere with or circumvent security or access control mechanisms
  • 🔐 All API access requires valid OAuth 2.0 credentials issued under a Partner Agreement
